๐ข Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to the post of Homoeopathic Medical Officer at the Homoeopathic Medical Council.
The Homoeopathic Medical Council has announced vacancies for Homoeopathic Medical Officer positions to serve in new government Homoeopathic medical clinics to be established by the Council. The appointment is permanent and eligible officers will receive Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) benefits.

The salary scale is given in the Gazette as MM 1-1-2016: Rs. 53,175 โ 10รRs. 1,375 โ 15รRs. 1,910 โ Rs. 95,575.
๐ Educational Qualifications
Applicants must satisfy the required educational and professional qualifications specified in the Gazette.
Option 1 โ Degree in Homoeopathic Medicine
Applicants may possess:
๐ A degree in Homoeopathic Medicine obtained after completing a degree course of at least five and a half (5ยฝ) years from a local or foreign university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka (UGC).
Option 2 โ Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine
Alternatively, applicants may have:
๐ A full-time diploma course of at least four (04) years in Homoeopathic Medicine from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka;
โ Three (03) years of professional experience after completing the diploma.
๐ฉบ Internship and Registration
Applicants must also have:

Completed at least one (01) year of internship training; and
โ
Be registered as a Homoeopathic Physician in the Homoeopathic Medical Council.
๐ฅ Professional Experience Requirement
Applicants are required to possess at least one (01) year of professional experience in medical clinical practice at a local or foreign:

The Gazette specifies that this experience must be supported by appropriate documentation. A patient register of treated patients together with the official seal of the head of the institution is required. For a privately operated institution, the experience must be confirmed by a certificate from the relevant Divisional Secretary.

Applicants should be:

๐น Not more than 50 years of age

Every applicant must:
โ Be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
โ Possess the physical and mental fitness necessary to properly perform the duties assigned to the post and to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.

๐ Selection Procedure
Recruitment will be made in order of merit based on the results of a structured interview conducted by a board appointed by the appointing authority.
