The salary scale is Rs. 40,000–10×450–10×490–10×540–12×590–Rs. 61,880 (PL 1 – 2025), according to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025 dated 25.03.2025.
🎓 Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have:
✅ Passed 6 subjects with two distinctions at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings.
👷 Required Service Experience
Applicants must have completed 10 years of permanent, active and satisfactory service in the post of Field Assistant in the Primary Non-Technical Service Category of the Coast Conservation and Coastal Resources Management Department.
💪 Physical and Other Qualifications
Candidates must:
🔹 Be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
🔹 Be capable of performing the duties associated with the position.
🔹 Be of excellent character.
🔹 Have completed a satisfactory period of service, earned salary increments and demonstrated satisfactory or above-average performance during the preceding five years.
🔹 Fulfil all qualifications required for appointment by the date specified in the notice.

💰 Salary Scale
The selected candidates will receive the following salary scale:
💵 Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 61,880
Salary Scale: Rs. 40,000 – 10×450 – 10×490 – 10×540 – 12×590 – Rs. 61,880 (PL 1 – 2025).
📜 Terms and Conditions of Employment
The Gazette specifies the following conditions:
🔸 The appointment is permanent and pensionable, subject to future government policy decisions regarding the pension scheme.
🔸 The selected officers will be subject to an acting period of one year.
🔸 The officer must pass the first Efficiency Bar Examination within three years after appointment.
🔸 Officers selected should be prepared to serve in any part of the island.
📝 Selection Method
Eligible officers who have completed the required permanent, active and satisfactory service will be appointed according to the number of vacancies and the marks obtained at a structured interview.
📌 A minimum of 55 marks must be obtained at the structured interview to be appointed as Field Assistant (Supervisory).
