Director (Export Services & Export Marketing) Vacancy 2026 – National Gem & Jewellery Authority Sri Lanka

The National Gem & Jewellery Authority (NGJA) has announced applications for the post of Director (Export Services & Export Marketing) (HM 1-1). Qualified professionals with extensive managerial experience in marketing, international trade, business administration, or related fields are encouraged to apply before the closing date.

Job Summary

Educational Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must satisfy either qualification pathway (A) or (B) below:

Option A

A Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the UGC in one of the following fields:

• Marketing Management
• Business Administration
• Management
• International Business
• International Trade
• Commerce
• Economics
• Strategic Management
• Science

AND

A Master’s Degree recognized by the UGC in:

• Marketing Management
• Gemmology
• Business Administration
• Management
• Commerce
• Economics
• International Trade

AND

A minimum of 15 years of managerial-level experience in a Corporation, Statutory Board, Institution, or reputed private organization.

Option B

• Full Membership of:
  • Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), or
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), or
  • Similar qualification from a recognized professional chartered institution.

AND

• A minimum of 15 years of managerial-level experience in a Corporation, Statutory Board, Institution, or reputed private organization.

Salary Scale

HM 1-1 Salary Scale

Rs. 140,640 – 4,100 × 15 – 202,140

➕ Government-approved allowances applicable.

This salary scale will be effective from 01 January 2027.

Current Salary Step

Rs. 123,019/- as of 01 January 2026 according to MSD Circular 01/2025.

Age Limit

Applicants should:

✅ Be not less than 35 years of age

✅ Be not more than 55 years of age

The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.
