🎓 Educational Qualifications
Applicants should have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination with at least six subjects including Sinhala/Tamil language, with credit passes for two subjects.
🛠️ Professional Qualifications
Applicants must have one of the following professional qualifications related to the occupation:
✅ National Vocational Qualification (NVQ Level 3) certificate
OR
✅ A certificate obtained after completing a vocational course of not less than one year conducted by:
- 🏫 Department of Technical Education and Training (DTEP)
- 🏫 National Youth Services Council (NYSC)
- 🏫 Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA)
- 🏫 National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA)
- 🏫 Registered technical training institutions under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission
Applicants must also possess a competency certificate issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic regarding driving private/hire vehicles, lorries, or station wagons below 24 tons.
👤 Age Limit & Other Requirements
Applicants must:
✅ Be Sri Lankan citizens
✅ Be permanent residents of the North Central Province
✅ Have good character and good health condition
✅ Be physically and mentally fit to perform duties
✅ Be between 18 and 45 years of age on the closing date of applications
💰 Salary Scale
Selected candidates will receive the salary scale applicable under Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025:
💵 PL-3 – 2025 Salary Scale
Rs. 42,780 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 10 × 590 – 12 × 630 – Rs. 66,540
📝 Selection Method
Recruitment will be conducted through:

The practical test will evaluate the applicant’s technical skills and ability related to heavy machine operation.
Candidates may be tested on:
🚜 Operating heavy machinery or equipment
🔧 Removing and assembling machine parts
