๐ Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet any one of the following eligibility pathways defined by the University Grants Commission (UGC):
1. Chartered Accountants (CASL) Pathway
- Must possess the Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL) or its equivalent.
- AND Should possess at least six (06) years of post-qualifying experience in accounting and/or auditing in an executive capacity.
2. Internal Promotion Pathways (UGC System)
- Option A: A holder of the post of Deputy Accountant / Deputy Bursar / Deputy Internal Auditor in the University System with confirmed service and at least three (03) years of satisfactory service in that post.
- Option B: A holder of the post of Senior Assistant Accountant / Senior Assistant Bursar / Senior Assistant Auditor with confirmed service and at least ten (10) years of experience in accounting/auditing, including specific executive timeframes within the University System.
3. Alternative Academic & Professional Qualifications
Applicants holding a Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA), or intermediate qualifications from CASL must possess between 12 to 18 years of executive-level experience depending on their specific tier and grade within the Higher Educational Institutions.

๐ Remuneration
- Salary Code: U-EX 3 (II)
- Basic Scale: Rs. 95,575 – 17 x 2,435; 12 x 4,450 – 190,420 p.m.
- In addition, government-approved allowances applicable to the university system will be paid.
