The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) under the Ministry of Defence invites applications for the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the National Building Code of Sri Lanka (NBCSL) Project (2026–2028).

🎓 Educational Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

1️⃣ Special Degree

• Special Degree in Geology / Engineering / Architecture / Quantity Surveying
• Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

OR

2️⃣ General Degree + Postgraduate Qualification

• General Degree in relevant field
  AND
• Postgraduate Degree / Postgraduate Diploma in related discipline

OR

3️⃣ Professional Membership

• Associate Membership of a recognized Chartered Professional Institution related to the post

⭐ Relevant research experience will be an added advantage.

💰 Salary Scale & Allowances

📅 From 01.01.2026

• Rs. 81,675.00
  • Rs. 17,800.00 (Cost of Living Allowance)

📅 From 01.01.2027

• Rs. 91,650.00
  • Rs. 17,800.00 (Cost of Living Allowance)

📌 Salary will not change during the contract period.
