📖 About the Role

The Vice Chancellor serves as:

• Principal Executive Officer
• Principal Academic Officer
• Accounting Officer of the University
• Ex-officio Chairman of the Council and Senate

The selected candidate will provide strong academic leadership, introduce effective management policies, and ensure transparency, accountability, and excellence in university governance.

⏳ Term of Office

• Three (03) years
  OR
• Until completion of 65 years of age
  (Whichever occurs earlier, as per Universities Act provisions)

🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must demonstrate:

• A record of high academic achievement
• Strong research profile
• Proven leadership and administrative capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Deep understanding of university governance and policy implementation
• Commitment to academic excellence and community engagement

Additionally, applicants must be below 63 years of age on the closing date.

💰 Salary & Benefits

The Vice Chancellor:

• Is eligible for the highest academic salary scale
• Will receive an entertainment allowance of 15% of the basic salary
• Is entitled to other applicable allowances and benefits
