🏛️ About the Vacancy

The University of Colombo is accepting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Technical Officer Grade II (Segment B). Selected candidates will initially be appointed as Trainee Technical Officers and will undergo a training period before confirmation.

🎓 Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

✅ Educational Qualification

Three (03) passes in G.C.E. Advanced Level (Science Subjects) in one sitting.

AND

✅ Technical Qualification

Successfully completed a skill-oriented formal training programme relevant to the post with a minimum duration of one year (full-time) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Faculty.

🌟 Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With

Candidates possessing any of the following qualifications will have an added advantage:

🔬 Advanced Certificate in Laboratory Technology

🧪 Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

🏥 Diploma in Laboratory Technicians’ Training from the Institute of Chemistry

⚗️ Diploma in Laboratory Technology

📡 NDT or equivalent technical qualifications

🩺 Registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council as a Medical Laboratory Technologist

🎓 Degree in:

Medical Laboratory Technology
Biomedical Sciences
Molecular Biology
Microbiology
Nuclear Technology
Related disciplines

📋 Training & Appointment Details
