Procurement Specialist Vacancy 2026 – Department of Samurdhi Development Sri Lanka
The Department of Samurdhi Development has called for applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Procurement Specialist under the Empowerment Program. This appointment is offered on a contract basis for a period of 18 months and is funded through the World Bank-supported social protection project aimed at improving income and livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka.

About the Project
In June 2023, the World Bank Executive Board approved a social protection project designed to support Sri Lanka in providing better-targeted income support and livelihood opportunities for poor and vulnerable communities. As part of this initiative, the Department of Samurdhi Development is recruiting a qualified Procurement Specialist to support project implementation activities.
Salary and Benefits
✅ Entitled to Category C Salary Scale and Allowances as per Management Services Circular No. 01/2026
✅ Employer contribution to:
- EPF – 12%
- ETF – 3%
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants will be shortlisted based on:
- Educational qualifications
- Relevant working experience
- Previous experience in similar projects
- Compliance with qualifications specified in MSD Circular No. 01/2026
Age Limit
- Applicants should be below 67 years of age
